When you hire CNR Construction, you are investing in your home. We take that seriously. Every project we complete comes with a written workmanship guarantee, giving you clear, documented cover on the work we carry out. Whether you are extending your home, converting a loft, or carrying out brickwork repairs, you will know exactly how long you are covered and what that cover includes.
20-Year Structural Guarantee
Major structural projects are backed by our 20-year structural guarantee, covering structural integrity and workmanship. This applies from the date of practical completion.
The guarantee is provided in writing and is transferable, so it stays with the property if you sell your home.

Up to 6-Year Workmanship Guarantee
For non-structural works, we provide a written workmanship guarantee of up to 6 years, depending on project scope and materials used. The exact duration is confirmed in writing before work begins.
This covers defects in workmanship and materials under normal use. It does not cover fair wear and tear or damage caused by others.
What the Guarantee Covers

What Is Not Covered
- Fair wear and tear over time
- Damage caused by third parties or subsequent contractors

- Issues arising from a lack of routine maintenance by the owner

Common Questions
Is the guarantee transferable if I sell my house?
Yes. The structural guarantee is transferable to the new owner when you sell. You pass on the written guarantee document at the point of sale, which can be a real selling point and gives buyers added confidence in the build quality.
Do you provide the guarantee in writing?
Yes. Every project comes with a written guarantee document provided at practical completion. It sets out exactly what is covered, for how long, and the process for making a claim. You will always have it in hand.
What is the difference between the 20-year and the up-to-6-year guarantee?
The 20-year structural guarantee applies to major structural projects and covers structural integrity and workmanship from the date of completion. The up-to-6-year written guarantee applies to non-structural work, where the duration is confirmed before work starts depending on the scope and materials involved.
What happens if I have a concern after the guarantee period has ended?
